KSU
Red KU had won their own scrum, KU #9 spun the ball to KU #10 followed by KU's #10 passing to #12. Mr. Korvick came through and hit the KU #10 late, high and without an attempt to wrap. Mr. Korvick had been talked to previously about his timing and wrapping in the tackle. This play was an obvious and conscious late hit on a defenseless player.

08/04/2014 - 7:30pm Dominque Berry (977734)
Blue Valley
Red After a free kick was awarded to St. Thomas Aquinas (STA) the STA player toed the ball and drove towards the goal line. Two players from Blue Valley initiated legal contact and began to drive the ball carrier backwards with D/Berry drove his right elbow into the temple of the ball carrier rendering him unconcious. This action was also confirmed through review of video. I recommend a punishment longer that two weeks for this incident as action was deliberate and intentional with the intent to cause harm.

Red Mr. Smith had been given a yellow card during the 27th minute for dissent. While standing in the try zone, KSU made a breakaway, crossed the try line and made their way to center the ball. Mr. Smith took that as an opportunity to sprint towards the KSU player feign an attempt to tackle of the KSU scorer. While no contact was made, the KSU player dove to the ground in anticipation of the contact.

Yellow Kyle was playing at the fullback position. After several consecutive plays that he was a part of he would get up, make comments and offer further unsolicited commentary about the interpretation of the laws. I spoke with the player and the captain separately to try and manage the situation to no avail. Yellow card issued.

Red Springfield attacking the KCI 22m line when the ball carrier #19 was tackled by KCI#19 and spillt the ball forward. I followed the ball to see if advantage could be played and as I turned back to the tackle area I saw KCI#19 punch the Springfield #19 in the face. I did not see what caused the flare up but was instructed that the KCI#19 was retaliating to an elbow given to him by the Springfield #19 after the tackle. The red card was issued for the retaliation punch.

28/09/2013 - Too much of the 2nd Half Tucker Shaw (417189)
Arkansas Gryphons RFC
N/A About 10 minutes into the second half the Springfield team's prop left the field due to injury. I was told that they had come with no trained replacements therefore, according to Law 3.13[d] I ordered that the teams have uncontested scrums. This decision was immediately challenged by Mr Shaw, the Gryphon's captain. He became quite disrespectful, loudly denying that my decision was legal or necessary. His ranting went on at each of the next few scrums despite my telling him to stop. I regret not sending him off for his continued unsportsmanlike conduct. He set a terrible example for his team which, I believe, contributed greatly to the negative play that followed in the rest of the match.

Yellow Late tackle on Springfield kicker which was followed by fighting btwn members of each team. His tackle was not malicious or intending to cause injury however it instigated the 3rd melee btwn the teams. A short time later, with 7 min. left + 3 injury time], I called the match off due to the bad sportsmanship/dangerous&negative attitudes shown by members of both teams.

21/09/2013 - 14:38 Richard Ross ()
CRFC Outlaws
Red CRFC Outlaw coach Richard Ross entered the field waving his arms & shouting at me (the referee) during the 38th minute of the match. Mr. Ross expressed he was angry about a high tackle. I had already awarded the Outlaws a penalty for said high tackle. The tackler had already apologized to the ball carrier & expressed concern for his well being by the time Mr. Ross was near as Mr. Ross had to cross the entire width of the field to approach us. The ball carrier was unharmed. Mr. Ross refused to leave the field of play when I instructed him to. Approximately 7-9 Outlaw players physically forced Mr. Ross off the field against his will. Mr. Ross physically attempted to remain on the field despite my instruction to leave & his players pushing him off of it. Mr. Ross continued to stare at me & yell obscenities while being forcefully removed from the field of play. I discussed the safety concerns of high tackles with both teams during half time. The tackler in question expressed that he "didn't mean to tackle him that high." Manhattan captain informed me that the tackler is a 1st season rookie who is a former football player. No further issues occurred.
